Request for Proposals for Queens Community Violence Prevention Project
Posted on March 12, 2021
The Queens County District Attorney's Office (QDA) is requesting proposals from qualified applicants to implement the Queens Community Violence Prevention Project (QCVPP).
The work solicited in this RFP will advance QDA's goals of improving public safety and promoting a fair and efficient criminal justice system, through the planning and implementation of community-based violence prevention projects.
The goals and expected outcomes of funded proposals are to increase community mobilization and messaging around anti-gun violence activities and initiatives, increase community-led responses to denounce violent incidents, develop better connections to support services, increase positive engagements with the NYPD and ultimately reduce violent crime. This initiative is in response to the rise in incidents of shootings and homicides within Queens County, particularly in the Southeast Queens community.
The Queens County District Attorney's Office anticipates total funding for the project to be up to $300,000 during the contract term.
Proposal Due Date: The Proposal submissions deadline has been extended until Tuesday, June 1, 2021, by 4:00pm EST. Proposals should be in an electronic PDF format and should be e-mailed to RFPBIDS@queensda.org. The subject line of the email should be: Submission: QDA-QCVPP RFP.
Projected Award Announcement Date: On or about June 15, 2021
