Body Worn Camera Analyst

The Office of the Queens County District Attorney is seeking an Analyst to assist in managing, archiving and editing BodyWorn Camera (BWC) footage and corresponding data.

  1. Receive Body Worn Camera (BWC) footage from the NYPD via an in-house computer application.
  2. Gather and identify all BWC footage on applicable arrest cases.
  3. Review and edit video and audio footage as needed for case preparation.
  4. Categorize and maintain video evidence for prosecution.
  5. Coordinate with the NYPD to ensure that all required BodyWorn Camera (BWC) footage is received.
  6. Assist in maintaining accurate BWC records.
  7. Video and audio redaction of BWC footage as requested.
  8. Assist with other assignments as requested.

Preferred Education and Qualification Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or education and/or experience which is equivalent.

Strong preference will be given to applicants with:

  1. Excellent communication, inter-personal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  2. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel,Word) and data entry.
  3. Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro.
  4. Familiarity with video editing technology.
